Tracfone

Hey, I was just wondering if anyone here uses Tracfone (http://www.tracfone.com/home_page.jsp?b=n&flash=YES&p=M), the pre-paid wireless system. The reason I'm asking is because I'm about to buy one of their phones, and Tracfone currently has a refer-a-friend promo (http://www.tracfone.com/safc.jsp?task=promo&bid=60&AID=HPCRAF1) where you can refer a friend (me!), and both of us get 100 minutes of free airtime.

I've had Tracfone in the family for about 3 years. It's currently the phone of choice for my middle-school age son.

FWIW, I think a Tracfone is a fine choice if you stay close to home, but it's a pain to roam with it, because they make you enter a special code every day the phone is out of its home service area. If you roam to certain parts of the country, they make you enter a PIN with each call.
