email thru Google with a 1GB limit, 5MB attachment limit. Currently only in beta and by invite only.

It quickly become my primary email account.

That's right. I read about that via an email I recv'd awhile back. Kind of a "heads up" email on the fact the google was to begin the email thing soon. Can I get an account or is this just for you guys that help out here at the msg board?

No, it's not just for them -- it's just by invite. I have 12 invites available. If you want one, PM me with your name and email address.

it's really a pretty cool e-mail account. and I've found it to be remarkably fast too, being that it's mostly all text it's understandable. I really appreciate that there aren't about 8 million little images to load on each page.

so to re-iterate, anyone who wants a gmail account should send a PM to one of us who have invites available.

I agree, I love it, and the extentions for it for Mozilla FireFox are awesome, the status bar notifier kicks, the gmail compose extention will open tyhe gmail compose screen if you click on a mailto: link rather than outlook, or whatever your default client is.

It's very cool, needs some work, I can see places where it could use help, but thats why it's in limited "beta" use. That also means there is a better change of not having to be "user175638@gmail.com" ;)

I recently created a gmail account thanx to an invite by a fellow HostPC member and now I have some of my own invites to give as well, so I might as well continue the HostPC generosity.
