.htaccess with options indexes

I've got my web site set to display all contents of directories via .htaccess. It works fine for the main website, but this attribute isn't carrying over into the users' websites. Some users have even tried uploading their own .htaccess to enable directory listing but it doesn't work.

Users are handled very strangely in Ensim. Users don't have a lot of the permissions that domains do - like:

- can't use Front Page
- can't use CGI - unless it's in the root /cgi-bin
- and can't use .htaccess directives

Why? Dunno... just the way Ensim handles it. We're (clients of Rackshack) bugging them for a "fix" - but not holding our breath.
