Remember old messageboard??
I remember..I think I do...you posted a perl script file manager.Am I correct?
I never got around to trying it.
Still a freebie?
I just enjoy scripts that WORK.
I've got several perl file manager scripts that work nicely but....
are you talking about fileman from gossamer-threads <?>
I think that was it.
I guess they still offer a free single user download.I'll have to try it but my luck is usually un-zipping such things and you have to be a great scientist to ever get it to work.
I got the ffileman one to work ok

The thought arose when somebody here yesterday asked me for possible help. They were on a webtv unit and needed a file manager.I scratched around for hours for scripts and finally put one on their site. Most I had if they had to be in cgi-bin would not climb out of that directory..i.e. could not go up to /www and down into /html (/var/www/)
The ffileman one does nicely and that one from http://www.xav.com/
hmmm...all that work then the person seems to say everything is too complicated....then I hear nothing....
Complicated to enter user/password and use a file manager? I tried---and still open for the most simple help....
I use a webtv unit here myself and hostpc is perfectly usable with such with a site file manager.Other than that you can edit a whole site with webtv via web-based ftp.
Need a real computer to enter that control panel..ensim is it?
