Is there an imposed limit to the number of emails I can send through Squirrelmail at one time?

I have a client who is sending info to many people, and Outlook Express will not connect to the mail server to SEND, but will to RECEIVE. This just started today.

Yes, the outgoing server is set for authentication, like the incoming mail.

Are you by any chance using COX Internet Service ?

There's some weird things happening with major ISP's and their ability to send mail through 3rd party servers. We haven't made any configuration changes that would affect this - in fact no configuration changes in the past week or so.

I've also been informed that MSN is also doing this. They won't budge on the restriction either.

Do you know anyway around this? Is it possible to enter the IP address directly, instead of mail.yourdomain.com?

If not, maybe a law suite is in order.

Nevermind. I just found out that they are just having their customers send their mail through their server so that it gives them more control over spam and viruses. It does not change the email address that the recipient sees, so if you have an email address of yourname@yourdomain.com, it will remain the same. The only thing that changes is that your email is sent through Cox's server, not yourdomain server.
