"Recently, Cox Communications began requiring all users of their high-speed internet services to use the Cox SMTP settings for all outgoing mail, regardless of whether users have their own "vanity" domain names or hosting that offers outgoing mail services. Therefore, if you are using an email client, like "Outlook" or "Eudora", and are a Cox High Speed Internet customer, you will have to change your outgoing mail server to reflect the regional SMTP settings for your Cox account. For more information, see http://support.cox.net/custsup/email/email_info.shtml. This link will send you to the Cox Communications Support page, where you can find the details of this new requirement, as well as links on how to reset your email client."
