Today's Outage Affecting All Servers

At approximately 2:12PM Eastern Time today a datacenter outage began which affected all services on all HostPC servers. The datacenter is investigating the cause, preliminary review indicates an issue with the Verio backbone. The outage was approximately 25 minutes in duration and all services have been restored at this time.

It appears that the cause of this afternoon's outage was a failure of a core router at Verio, which is the network backbone provider for the datacenter. A few minutes after the outage was detected and diagnosed, Verio apparently replaced the bad router and restored service.
