My domain was suspended for non-payment, due to apparently an old email address being on file. I think this may have been a remnant from the old billing system conversion that I read about in a thread down below...
When I upgraded packages a little less than a year ago, the communications were a little unclear and I thought my account would expire next month (perhaps my error), rather than this month. Nonetheless, I renewed it and was back up and running in a matter of minutes (which is a testament to the great customer service found here) -- THANKS!
So, being a place for suggestions, here is one: can we get the billing system to talk to DirectAdmin? More specifically, the email address shown in the "Site Summary/Statistics/Logs" in DirectAdmin is probably the one that most people think HostPC will use to contact them. I seem to recall getting those (thankfully now very infrequent) notices about outages, etc. at this email account, so I would logically expect to get all information pertaining to HostPC there.
I know this may be a tall order to automate, so perhaps a manual sweep of expring domains that haven't been renewed yet (say 2 weeks in advance of expiration), then just a quick "reminder notice" to the DirectAdmin registered address.
