Note: Some of our servers are based at Rackshack, and because of this, we MUST, and WILL abide by their rules - including those of SPAM. Since these are "common sense" rules, they will apply to ALL servers, in ANY datacenter. This will be considered an addition to our terms of use/acceptable use policy.
Use of the HostPC service to transmit any unsolicited commercial or unsolicited bulk e-mail is expressly prohibited. Violations of this type will result in the immediate termination of the offending account.
E-mail / News Bombing: Malicious intent to impede another person's use of electronic mail services or news will result in the immediate termination of the offending account.
E-mail / Message Forging: Forging any message header, in part or whole, of any electronic transmission, originating or passing through the HostPC service is in violation of this AUP.
Usenet SPAMing: HostPC has a zero tolerance policy for the use of its network for the posting of messages or commercial advertisements, which violate the rules, regulations, FAQ or charter of any newsgroups or mailing list. Commercial messages that are appropriate under the rules of a newsgroup or mailing list or that are solicited by the recipients are permitted.
Vulnerable Forms / Scripts: If a users webform (formmail) script is exploited, and is responsible for sending out malicious e-mails from the server, you will receive a warning, and incur a $50 penalty for the cleanup. We URGE you to use a SECURE formmailer on your site.
Any user violating any portion of our SPAM policy will have their account terminated - period!
