I have setup a few accounts with no quota limit (Inputting 0). Yet, when we logon using UebiMiau, at the bottom of the inbox it says that the quota is 10240K. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Will this unintended quota be enforced or should I just tell all the users to ignore the message?

Thanks!

The bottom line answer is I do not KNOW. The 10MB limit is hardcoded, but if it's enforced or not, I can't answer.

I urge everyone using Uebimiau to NOT use it. I personally hate that program. The binaries for it are several years old - there's been no support from the author concerning it. Why it was included with Directadmin, I can't answer - but I do know it's the issue behind a lot of webmail questions we get.

We're instituting a new policy regarding /webmail:

"due to the increase problems with /webmail better known has neotech we are no longer supporting it. we will continue to make it available but all support tickets will be asked to visit their web site and get support there"

Gut feeling? the 10MB limit is enforced, but I can't say that for certain. I've never used it.

Given some of the other odd things it does (like not being able to correctly time stamp email) why would you think this would work? :D

It doesn't! I've had one client who had about 15MB in his 10MB limited Inbox and never experienced any receiving problems.

I agree...I hate that webmail program. On the other hand, every time I use Squirrelmail, it results in Outlook or Thunderbird (i tried both) downloading *all* of the messages on the server as being new, again.

Since I like to leave my messages on the server for 3 days, in case I need to check messages from somewhere else or from my thumbdrive, this is a major problem...every time I log in to squirrelmail, I have several hundred duplicate messages in my pop program the next time I fire it up. This has forced me to use webmail for the last few months.

Any suggestions?

-Dave.

I can tell you, the 10MB limit is enforced.

In fact, if you cross that limit, you can't send or read e-mail until you delete something.

Any good alternatives to either squirrelmail or Uebimiau?

I have the same issues w/squirrelmail as mentioned earlier, and I know Uebimiau is an old program not being updated.

How about something that requires https? I don't like the idea of sending my paswword over the world wide web in clear text everytime I use webmail...
