Does anyone here use the the spell check function in squirrelmail? I am using the system wide
install on www25, it was working up until a few days ago, now it bombs with:
"I tried to execute 'ispell -a', but it returned:
aspell: Symbol `_ZTVN7acommon6StringE' has different size in shared object, consider re-linking
"
I suspect something is up with the underlying ispell program that it makes use of. I am going to try a
local install and see if that helps but I doubt it. I submitted a helpdesk ticket but was told that they don't
know anything and aspell should not have been installed on the server. I am rather confused by this because, it's a system wide install and spell check used to work up until recently, something likely broke. It was suggested that I use an IE only browser spell check, which is not an option for me as I don't use windows. Spell check in squirrelmail used to work... It seems like something in the underlying system got corrupted but their is little interest in looking into the issue.
