File Attachments For Autoresponders?

hi all,

would appreciate any advice. I am running a small online business selling travel guides. Some are books and some are downloadable files. For the files they use paypal to purchase and after their purchase is complete, paypal sends them to the page where they can download their file. I would love to look at using autoresponders to actually send the customer the file, rather than having paypal do it. Is there any way to do an attachment to an autoresponder?

Why do you want an autoresponder?
I assume you mean to email the document to people. That isn't an autoresponder. An autoresponder is a program that automatically replies to an email.

It sounds like you want to have a page (app) that can just email the file to the person. This could be pretty easy to set up in php.

you may end up with some crabby customers, people on slow connections or spam filters with varying criteria may get ticked off if an unexpected doc clogs theri email or worse yet, feel they got ripped off cuz they never saw the email.

Not really a good, looks good in theory, but not in reality.
