View Full Version : The Ultimate Online Pharmaceutica
I have been receiving loads of SPAM e-mails containing "The Ultimate Online Pharmaceutical" and also " Software". However, I am recieving around 400 returned blocked emails from my own email address but with the pre-fix changed. It seems that my PC is now bulk emailing these incredibly annoying emails. Does anyone know what this bulk email worm is called so I can get it removed ASAP ?

Do you run adaware or spybot search and destroy? if so, update their databases and run them, they will likely find it, if not, search the forum at www.spywareinfo.com, they know everything regarding this stuff...

In my experience, the type of infection that turns your PC into a spambot is usually the result of a virus/worm/trojan and as such may not be caught by the antispyware utilities. Your antivirus should be catching them. I'd make sure you're running the very latest A/V update and do a full system scan. Can't hurt to follow dbmasters' advice and run Spybot S&D. Also get AdAware and the Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta and update and run them. None of them are complete enough to catch everything so having all three is a must.
Good luck!

I have them -- just don't know how to use them. Seems too complicated. Or I'm afraid to blindly do what they tell me and to delete files without knowing what they are. I use zonealarm for the firewall. Lately I've been wondering if something sneaked into my computer because some of the spam email is going to email addresses it shouldn't know about (it may just be lucky guesses on their part). But you're right, I should learn how to use adaware and spybot.
