changed hosts from another provider to host PC last night. did the DNS switch with my registrar around 8pm CST.
this morning DNS from my ISP seemed to have swtched over properly. A unique index for my domain shows that it is being loaded from the host pc servers. and my email client (thunderbird) pulled a email with spamassasin headers off the hostpc servers (old host didn't have SA)
around 11:30am CST thunderbird sudenly said i had 10,000 new messeges and started to DL them. it looks like it is downloading every messege off of my older server. Don't know why it connects there as it was connected to the hostpc server earlier this morning, mail.mydomain.com goes to a hostpc landing page in firefox. and then there is the question as to why it is treating all these messeges as new?
seems like a DNS problem, although mail.mydomain.com and mydomain.com appear to point to the hostpc servers already, from firefox at least. I can't have my domain removed from old hosts name servers yet as some of my mail does still end up on their servers as of right now. WIll this problem solve itself in 24 hours as the DNS continues to propigate? any ideas?
