The Burst network in PA is offline... they're working on identifying the issue now.
There is no current ETA. This issue only affects www59 - no others in our network.
I've been saying for a couple of months that we need to get everyone off - now is the time folks, I wont put up with this any more. When it comes back online, we'll be starting a final shutdown of ALL outside datacenters, including Burst and LayeredTech

They've just identified the issue as a CTSI network issue - engineers are re-routing traffic now as I understand it

UPDATE: We have just received confirmation from CTSI that the issue is on their end. They are reporting multiple clients are affected with outages. They are currently working to correct the issue.
We will update you as further information becomes available.

From Burst ... (Keep in mind, we ARE shutting down this server ASAP ... if you haven't moved off it, NOW is the time)
BURSTNET Network Outage Advisory - December 5th, 2006
BurstNET™/NOCSTER™ Network Mailing List Members;
At approximately 10:35AM EST on December 5th, 2006 the BurstNET™ Network experienced a network-wide outage.
This outage was confirmed to be caused by a fiber cut on the Commonwealth Telephone™ (CTSI) network, at a location near downtown Philadelphia, PA. CTSI™ is currently on-site awaiting access to repair the damage, and are being delayed until the electric utility company restores power service first. The expected time for CTSI™ to have repair access is approximately 8PM EST, and we would expect fiber splicing to take several hours afterwards.
UPDATE: Due to the size of our relationship with CTSI™, and the obvious failure of our contracted redundancy with CTSI™, we have managed to have them re-route our circuits around the fiber cut. Service has been restored as of 7PM EST. We are no sure if there will be any minor outages when things return back to normal or when the redundancy issue is corrected, but we would expect such to be minimal if any. Our immediate concern was getting this service restored as quickly as possible, without waiting for fiber splicing, which has now been accomplished. More information will be posted to the Network Status section of our Support Forums as made available to us.
BurstNET™ currently utilizes CTSI™ for transport access from our Scranton PA data center facility to our Internet transit carriers in Philadelphia. BurstNET™ leases two "FULLY REDUNDANT" Gigabit Ethernet (1000MBPS) circuits from CTSI™ for our transport needs. CTSI's redundant network map can be found at http://www.ctsi.com/carrier/carrier_network.html
The BurstNET™ leased circuits have a normal path down thru Allentown to Philadelphia, and a backup path by way of Harrisburg. A single fiber cut should not have taken out either of these circuits, as the service should have switched over to the backup route once the outage occurred. The redundant service that BurstNET™ contracted with CTSI™ for, should have protected us from this fiber cut, and no outage should have been experienced by our clientele---obviously which has not occurred. After service restoration, BurstNET™ will be taking necessary action to get to the bottom of CTSI's™ service/contract failure, however, our immediate concern was for service restoration and customer service. BurstNET™ will also be pursuing alternative redundancy scenarios, as is in the best interests of our clienetele.
We thank you for your patience and understanding, as well as for your continued business.
