I would like some some ideas on what to use for email in a small office environment. I like the what I see in Round cube is it free?

Our email can be served via host pc or should we use the ISP?

The client has 5 pcs and one server we just moved their website to Host PC and now the email has to be fine tuned

currently I have them all using one of the web based email clients
UebiMau (sp?)

Three of the 5 computers are using Outlook (3 dfferent versions)
others like web based email like hotmail they like to access while home or on the road.

Part of the office network is high volume copier scanner. Is there a way to configure outlook easily with host pc? should I use IMAP or POP?

is there an advantage to using my ISP's SMTP?

I am sure there is a link if someone could please show me?

Thanks in advance !

I'd suggest using our mail system - and POP3 on the client side

Web based mail is good for "on the road" - but it's always best to download the mail (pop3) to your local machine on a regular basis.

I would suggest letting gmail host your domain email...

It comes with 2GB per mailbox, comes with a calendar, spreadsheet and document creation, collaboration and sharing and much more. Saves disk space and all that on your web server. I had a couple glitches to work out when I started but after a day or two of tweaking, it's been awesome.

Another recommendation for the Gmail service! In addition to all the great collaboration stuff dbmasters mentions, Gmail's spam filtering is awesome.

The only problems I have are if somebody on the same physical server as me, or a form on one of my web sites tries to email me, as it looks at the domain on the server and ignores MX records and therefore fails. Onbe of DA's biggest flaws in my opinion.

The way I got around this is I set up my me@domain.com in my gmail hosted space, plsu, I also set up me@domain.com in my DA domain control panel. The one in DA I forwarded to a dummy gmail account and that forwarded to me@domain.com in my hosted space. It's hokey but it works...after figuring that out I can't think of any email I have lost.
