i don't want to be a jerk, but...
I just thought you might want to know what the competition is up to.

the low price and unlimited bandwidth is what caught my eye.
I try (hard) not to get into comparing us-v-them with any other host.
Personally, I don't think there's any reliable host that offers "unlimited" anything - bandwidth included. Everything has a limit, including the network card installed. I wouldn't want *MY* site hosted on the same servers as other domains that are pushing out HUGE amounts of bandwidth - it'd be slow as hell.
$9 a year ?? hahahah
Lets see. Server cost is (minimum) $130/month - thats for a celeron or duron, with 512 (min) memory, and a 40gb drive. That's $1,560/yr. Thats roughly 175 customers on the box, just to cover the cost of the rental. Anything over that, is profit. Hopefully, any host running >175 customers is using a higher end server - now you're talking $150-$175/month ($2,100/yr) - or 234 customers, just to cover the cost of the server, not including extra bandwidth, support costs, credit card fees (or paypal), etc. (A $9 account will actually be around $8 after c/c fees).
Where's the profit for the company to insure that they'll even BE here in a year?
HostPC's model is built on no more than 150 clients per p4 server for best results. We don't offer "unlimited" anything - including bandwidth, for a reason.
I can't and won't compete with a business model like that. Im trying to insure we'll be here for ANOTHER 5 years. :) (Yes, thats a hint, our 5yr anniversary is coming in November - get ready for some HOT prices)

Yeah, another company is offering "lifetime" hosting for a one-time fee. I can imagine what's that like. Of course if they go out of business, there goes your site.
Hmm, well the site is down atm.
And any host that offers unlimited ANYTHING should catch your eye. It should catch your eye and spur you to run as fast as you can in the opposite direction.
Offering UNLIMITED resources that are actually LIMITED is just plain goofy. The two most common problems people run into with unlimited hosts that I have seen in my history of web hosting is that unlimited hosts end up with so many people packed onto a box that performance goes straight down the tubes and stays there once the box gets good and crowded. The second issue is that if your site actually gets popular then they will pull your plug for using "TOO MUCH" resources. :)
Unlimited hosts only offer you unlimited resources if you don't really need them. Once you want to take them up on their offer, you will find out its a whole other matter entirely.

.
Wow. i have seen scary hosting companies before but that one is pretty good... There is no FAQ, no privacy policy, no term and conditions, no restrictions, no actual contact information except an email address, no forum, no sign of actual customers. You fill out a form with your name and credit card information... hmmm.

Yeah, but I guess a lot of people fall for the "unlimited" claim.
