View Full Version : Birthday Sale?
Well, checking the HostPC Whois records,
Created- 1998-11-18 00:00:00
Expires- 2004-11-17 00:00:00
I'm noticing that HostPC will be FIVE years old this year. For the past 5 years, we've managed to keep our "churn" rate under 2% by providing affordable, dependable services.
Keeping with tradition, November will be a BIG BIG sale... not sure yet, but we're working on it. It's time to celebrate, and you're ALL invited!
Argh. I sign up just after the back-to-school sale and just before the Anniversary sale. Oh well, I still think I got a good deal!

Joe or Nick correct me if I'm wrong, but can't a person usually take advantage of the sales even if they are an existing customer if they buy an upgraded package?
ie.
from Starter --> Personal
or Personal --> Business
hello thevillageinn
Yes, up to this point all sales have been directed towards new customers and existing customers. Existing customers can upgrade and take part in the sale. You must upgrade though, you can't cancel your account and turn around and signup again

Hi,
I just want to clearify what you said with an example. Now say I sign up today for the "Grand Re-opening sale" for 30 dollars and on November 18th you have your "Birthday Sale" which is better than the "Grand Re-opening Sale" but for either about the same price or cheaper. Since it is better could I upgrade to that package or is upgrading prohibited to only packages that are more expensive?
Thank You for clearing up the subject.
Because the roll-out came at about the same time as the "Birthday Sale" - I'm going to continue this current sale until 11/18/2003.
The hosting prices won't get any better than this - I can assure you of that. :) The only thing that MAY change is a lowered domain registration fee around the time of our birthday celebration.

Hi,
So will there be a birthday sale or is this the birthday sale?
And if there is a birthday sale, will I be able to upgrade to it if it is better than the grand re-opening sale?
Thanks
This IS basically the birthday sale... if it changes, everyone getting the current deal will be converted to the new deal - but I don't think it's going to change.
This $25 sale will absolutely end on 11/18 - and will not be held again this year.
