View Full Version : www200 Migration
www200 is being decommission for internal reasons. All users have been migrated to www75 and all traffic has been redirected.
All clients on www200 should update their nameservers to:
ns75a.hostpc.com
ns75b.hostpc.com
If your domain is registered thru HostPC, we will be making that change for you.

If for some reason your MySQL databases arent functioning properly, or you're getting a bad password error after this move, login to DirectAdmin control panel, reset your database password to the one you used in the script configuration - that should solve your problem.

Open a helpdesk ticket. Joe and the techs don't provide helpdesk assistance in the forums.

www200 is being decommission for internal reasons.
Does this mean that HostPC will not be managing servers at ThePlanet?

Once we've completely disassociated, I'll post more details.

I've sent off an email/support request to DirectAdmin - they'll be working on it soon. I'm not sure what the issue is, but it appears as tho mail IS queing in the server, so we should be ok for a little bit.
This only affects the www75 server, no others are involved.
As a "quick fix" - try deleting your mail account and recreating - you'll lose any mails in there, but it'll get you back on track more immediately - if you're in a rush.

I created a new email address and could not log into that using the web access. Hopefully the problem will be resolved soon and not involve purging the email stores.

Initially I thought the problem was isolated to logging into the mailbox. That was resolved, but now, email sent by the users that experienced login problems to other users on the server, does not arrive.
user1@mydomain.com <-- experienced login problems
user2@mydomain.com <-- did not experience login problems
mail sent by user1 does not route to user2 and is not bounced back as undeliverable.
mail send by user2 to user1 is delivered as expected.
I entered ticket #508332 ...

The issue I experienced appeared to be related to the move, but it turned out to be related to some SpamAssassin filter setup that I did just about the same time.
Ultimately, it was user error as I didn't realize that the default filter setup for matches and not explicit email addresses.
I closed the ticket.
