The OSI has given its stamp of approval to two of Microsoft's so-called shared-source software licenses, making them valid means of distributing open source technologies. OSI President Michael Tiemann wrote in a blog posting last Monday that there was "overwhelming -- though not unanimous -- consensus from the open source community that these licenses satisfied the 10 criteria of the open source definition."
