I am currently transfering my site from ENSIM to DA. Everything was fine until I tried a PHP script that emails the results of a form. I got the following:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mail() in /home/diratslabs/domains/diratslabs.com/public_html/process_contact.php on line 62

Is Mail() set up in DA? Or is there a different function name to it?

Try now...

No, still errors. Same error.

Does it have to do with me accessing the site by IP/username? I haven't changed my DNS entry yet.

ah, have you checked the mail on the new server? I tried your link yesterday, and it appeared to be working... but the mail would stay local...

No, I haven't checked w/ pop. I have checked with the webmail application.

Should I change my DNS and hope it works after propagation?

I just don't like the error saying

undefined function: mail()

If I change my DNS and it still doesn't work, you'll see my posts start using CAPS!

:?

mail() officially works - tried it myself, all seems to be well.

Well, I'm still in the midst of propagating DNS changes, but I tried to use the mail() script this morning from the DA website, and it is working. Thanks!

One more thing...
What happens to mail that gets sent to the "old" server (www6) after my nameserver has me going to the new site? Do I have to logon to each account w/ squirrelmail and forward it to each "new" account? I can't pop to the site anymore because my domain now points to the "new" site. :?

Well, I am able to POP to the IP address of the "old" server, and still get the mail that way. So I guess I can POP both accounts until everyone gets the new DNS stuff to their favorite name server. Any idea how long I should keep looking?

hello tnas

DNS usually takes 24 to 72 hours...mail can be a little funny and take a bit longer....i would say check it 96 hours after changing DNS and you should be good to go
