At the end of last year, in a status thread related to www400, Joe said (http://hostpc.com/community/showpost.php?p=17855&postcount=8):
We've got plans in place that'll mean you never have to change DNS again (still being formulated and implemented). We've got serious back-end changes happening to insure that IF something happens to a server in Florida, we can have a new machine online within an hour, an exact copy of itself. We've got new backup retention systems that are currently maintaining 2-3 days of backups for EVERY customer, including resellers and plans to take that to 5 day retention. We're currently developing cluster based networks within the datacenter to put the power of 5 machines together for each "public" server.
Bottom line is, going into this re-migration to Florida was a move that I think HostPC can live with profitably, and provide the best, proven results for our customers. I'm accepting your criticisms - we made a bad decision moving to Chicago, and I accept full responsibility for that. I'm trying to correct that by insuring it does not happen again.
How are these plans coming along? I'm excited to hear what's in store.
