When you go to filemanager in the control panel you can see "protect" next to directories
you click that to protect the directory and fill out the form and click save
a customer brought it to my attention that he received an error doing this
troubleshooting with him it comes to find out you MUST use a username even though it does say (not required)
as soon as we put in a username everything was fine...just some FYI
