Ok, now I'm moving to DirectAdmin.. thought it would be easy.....
but I've got a bunch of databases I need to import..
how about a nice easy to use interface like database-o-matic on DA?

Actually, it is fairly easy.

When I moved from Ensim, I did an export of the database. Then in DA, use the MySQL Databases icon, then click on phpMyAdmin. In phpMyAdmin, click on the query in the lower left corner. This will open another window - which has an Import Files query -- built in!

It worked for me on the first try!

thanks for the replies.. I'll give it another try...

UPDATE: yep.. it works.. not too difficult once I got pointed in the right direction...

I gotta agree - phpMyAdmin isn't the prettiest thing in the world - by ANY stretch of the imagination, but it does work.

Check out http://hotscripts.com for more Database Management tools (PHP Section)

They folks at Invision (http://www.invisionpower.com) have a pretty dynamite mysql backup/restore utility that I use all the time.

You might have to search the forums for "mysql tool", but it is there somewhere.
