Anyone else experiencing DNS or name server problems with domains registered via register.com? At my work, we have a number of domains registered there, and host our own sites. For the past 3 days, we've had massive problems with resolving our domains, or in some cases just resolving our mail server. The only news I seem to find about it are a couple articles via Google News, and a TON of stuff on Twitter:

What the heck? Why isn't something like that, a massive DDOS on a major registrar's DNS servers, front page news?

Anyone have any suggestions on how we might have mitigated DNS problems if our DNS goes down? We're looking at switching over to our ISP's DNS servers (AT&T), but should we be hosting our own or something?

This isn't their first attack

DDos attacks are nothing to sneeze about ... these appear to have been malicious tho.

As for mitigating, a tertiary DNS server is a REALLY good idea. Watch for an upcoming announcement about ours soon (http://www.hostpc.com/community/showthread.php?t=3940)
