Don't know whether other people have similar problem or not.

I have two domains hosted, one on www9 and one on www5. I am using catch-all usernames for both accounts.

If I send an email from www5 to www9, the email goes through quickly. However, if I send an email from www9 to www5, the email never go through. For the past two days, I have sent at least 10 test emails from www9 to www5, but none reaches www5 and none gets bounced back. I have tried both webmail and squirrelmail. Same result.

Both accounts on www5 and www9 seem to communicate well (email exchanges) with outside hostpc.com.

What could be the problem?

Thanks.

It is 9:45am, and I haven't received muttdog's email yet. I think the email will never come. On the contrary, an email from www5 to www9 only takes 2 seconds.

Again, what could be the problem for the mails lost?

Joe,

Got an email as follows:
From: Test@test.com
Date: Wed, October 29, 2003 9:42 am
Options: View Full Header | View Printable Version | Add to Addressbook

this is a test from www5 telnet session

---------------------

The problem is from www9 to www5.
www5 to www5 works fine.

Joe, could you re-test? Thanks.

Thanks. In that case, is it due to the settings of my acocunt on www9 or on www5?

Just PM you the account spec.

Thanks again.

Is anyone else having an issue with this?

Three users on one of my websites had problems receiving mail with Outlook when we first moved over from www8 to www9. The mail was there using /webmail/ so I just had 'em delete the Outlook profile and recreate themselves -- that fixed it.

Dunno why, though... Something stupid about Outlook, I thought...

Was this issue ever resolved???

I send a test message to kjian, and this is what i got back (this is really old, but i just noticed it...)

muttdog,

Thanks for asking.

The issue went away (at least I hope). I still don't know the reason. My www5 account was transferred from www2. For a week, the old account on www2 co-existed with the new account on www5. Maybe that's where the problem came from.

But I am quite sure that the problem was not due to DNS propagation.
