I've recently noticed that the my timestamps are WAY off. I've got the differential to GMT set correctly.

So I'm assuming that the "system time" is not configured correctly to GMT... To "fix it" I've had to apply an incorrect differential (-1 hour -- so I'm guessing that "system GMT" is Eastern Time...)

Anybody else notice this??? Or am I just all screwed up [again]

No you aren't the only one... My timestamps are all messed up... I dont know where i am... I have "correct" fix time like you said in my perferences, but when i email myself I can times that are 5 hours messed up...

My guess is that uebimiail has its own setting that is set to EST (it is a php file config) and the mail program Exim has its own setting that is correct... making things crazy...

Does anybody know what time it is?
Does anybody really care?

Well, Dean -- sometimes it does matter.

I kinda snapped at somebody yesterday because I thought they were getting snippy with my by asking questions (viewed using WebMail because I was out of town and had to use a business center in the hotel) I had already answered (using Outlook from home earlier in the day)... The timestamp showed me that they were nagging me yesterday afternoon! When in reality it was the original question from yesterday morning with a GMT??? timestamp -- but my settings in WebMail don't seem to correlate to what is displayed on the timestamps at all... If it had been "right" I wouldn't have made a fool of myself (which I tend to do often enough without any external help anyway...)

So, you're right - most times it really doesn't matter and this time shouldn't have mattered if I'd at least have been aware that the time stamps are screwed up... But I assumed...

So -- back to my original question: How do we go about *really* getting this fixed?!?

I see what you mean with the problems with the time on the DA server.

Here are the results of my testing:
Squirrelmail: no problems with the offset or the time when sending or receiving mail. I don't even know where any settings are changed for squirrelmail, but it's working fine.

UebiMiau: no problems receiving from external sources, but when sending messages the time that is stamped corresponds to the time that shows next to the "time zone" choice in the preferences.

In my case, the time zone offset is 8 hours, my current local time is 12:30 pm and in UebiMiau the time is 7:30am. I haven't the faintest idea what that corresponds with.
