We've implemented a backup routine on DirectAdmin. It needs a little explaining though.
1) We are going to run this backup on a once-a-week schedule (Sunday mornings, early).
2) Backup will include your /public_html directory, and MySQL databases only.
3) Mail is NOT currently backed up.
4) This is temporary.
We're working out the "particulars" on a full, daily automated backup solution. For now, there is a backup feature in your control panel, fully explained here: http://www.site-helper.com/backup.html ETA for our automated daily backups is December 1.
Our backups will be maintained off the server you're on, and for the time being a copy will be kept at Rackshack. We hope to have a dedicated backup server online at DV2 shortly.
Until we have a complete backup solution in place, PLEASE make sure you have valid backups of your sites at all times. It's a simple download that you can do yourself, at any time.
Thanks for your cooperation.
