View Full Version : Global Squirrelmail
DA Is about to release a global Squirrelmail "feature" - I don't have any details on the config or version yet, but the word is within a couple of weeks it'll be in the automatic updates.
Thanks for your patience - we continue to grow bigger and better!

First beta of Direct admin was released as 0.95 BETA in March 01 2003.
The first release of DA as version 1 was in May15 2003
There is a new version being released estimated on Nov 15 2003...

Joe,
Since there is a new version being released soon, are you going to upgrade the current version? Just wondering, I don't know if when you bought your software licenses for DA if you get to have unlimited upgrades or if you have to pay for them?

I have a local squirrelmail installed. Will the global squirrelmail run faster?
I am having a little bit problem with squirrelmail. Whenever I forward an email as attachment, the email is bounced back from server, saying:
--------------
.....
This message has been rejected because it has
a potentially executable attachment
test message subject.eml
This form of attachment has been used by
recent viruses or other malware.
If you meant to send this file then please
package it up as a zip file and resend it.
......
--------------
I assume this is caused by the filter installed on the hostpc servers.
Any way to bypass the problem? That is, how to use squirrelmail to forward email as attachment?
Thanks.
OUr license qualifies us for free upgrades, so yes, when it's available, we automatically upgrade. It's actually done automatically overnight directly from DA - no intervention on our part, they just push the upgrades to all subscribers IP's.
As for the global squirrelmail, I really don't have any more information on it yet. All I know is that it should be available within 2 weeks or so.
Because of this, I'm holding off the conversion from UW IMAP to COURIER IMAP... dont want to break a work in progress.
Thanks
Joe

only squirrelmail seems to do this, I'm going to keep testing various scenarios of configuration.
