Front Page troubles

I have a client that creates and maintains his site with FrontPage (*GAG*), and since the move to the DA servers has had nothing but trouble uploading his site to the server.

The FP extensions are enabled on his account. He's tried uploading changes only, and uploading the entire site, but gets the same error with both attempts.

The error he gets is a pop-up notice that says, "An unknown WinINet error has occurred (code 12111)".

He has tried using "www.domainname.com" (this is what he was able to use with ENSIM and it worked just fine) for the location to publish to, and then it asks for his name and password, but rejects it.

If he tries "ftp.domainname.com" he gets the same error.

Anyone else encountered this?

I've never used Front Page, but it looks like you're trying to FTP without using the "publish" feature?

He is NOT supposed to use the Publish option. Is he doing that?

I will have to direct him to these two threads. I know NOTHING about FP, other than I want to know nothing about it! LOL

What is the difference between the "Publish" option as you talk about, Eugene, and what he is SUPPOSED to do?

Could you elaborate on that?

First of all, let me say that I do NOT use Frontpage. Period. (I used (past tense) back when MS was developing it and I was beta testing various pieces of software, but after they pretty much ignored my comments I decided I preferred vi to Frontpage. :o )
A couple suggestions:

FTP base directory:
ftp://www.yourdomain.com/domains/yourdomain.com/public_html

You, or Joe may need to check the Frontpage error logs.
