Merchant accounts/ Paypal

Joe,
How has your relationship with Paypal been? I'm looking to setup a shopping cart on my site and im looking around at the possibilities.

Anyone else have any comments or suggestions please chime in.

I have had ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS with Paypal in over 4+ years... I move a lot of money through Paypal, and have never had a bad transaction, lost money or had a customer complain that they've lost money.

In fact, I've had a few occasions (one recently) to do a "chargeback" on a reservation that didn't get cancelled correctly. I called them up, and talked to someone on the first ring. Mailed the affidavit that was online, and had the $ credited back to me within 3 days. So, as a merchant, and a purchaser, I've been extremely happy with Paypal.

Now, I do realize that some people just don't like Paypal, mostly because they've listened to rumors... I'm sure I've lost a customer or two because right now, with the exception of checks) - it's the only form of payment I accept. I'm still quite happy with them, and will continue to use them without a hesitation or reservation at all.

A buddy of mine uses PayPal heavily from the merchant side, and his comments are consistent with Joe's -- he's very pleased.

Obviously you've used it from the user side (since you have a hostpc account). As a payor, I've never had the slightest problem.
