Where should I go to check my sub-domain usage statistics?

Go to subdomains. Then click stats.

Is there a way we can install awstats ourselves or is that a server thing on hostpc end?

Molly-
It is possible to have awstats running by yourself, but it was my understanding that Joe had planned to have it available server-wide.

I have just implemented AWStats on one of my DirectAdmin accounts. It works fantastically! Joe, if you don't have any problem with me distributing the local copy AWStats, then I am willing to post instructions. However, it would probably be best to go with the server-wide AWStats install.

Please also note that AWStats is notoriously processor intensive.

eugene,
did you get AWSTATS working with live log files or did you utilize backups that you made?

I was having trouble accessing the current log files, as they existed on the server with no user intervention.

I am bummed out that there's no word on when AWSTATS will be available system wide.

Joe-
OK. Will do.

thevillageinn-
I used live files.

then there must have been a change in the DA file system such that the Apache logs are no longer server wide, parsed out by the DA interface when you choose to view stats, and are now instead individual to the account?

this is good news to me. I'm going to re-work my AWSTATS installation.

eugene, if it's not too much trouble, do you happen to remember the path off the top of your head to the log files?

I have posted a how-to guide for installing AWStats entitled User installed AWStats for DirectAdmin.
