1) What are the server specs for new DA accounts?

2) To your knowledge what are the major differences between cPanel and DA?
Like Pro's and Con's.

3) Do you have a publically accessible link showing uptime % for your DA servers? If so, what is it?

4) Do you offer a referral/affiliate program? If yes, link, details?

5) What kind of webmail does DA offer? cPanel 8.x offers Horde, NeoMail and Squirrelmail. I prefer Squirrelmail.

6) How quickly are support tickets answered to usually around 3AM?

7) If I needed assistance in installing a simple script (Squirrelmail for instance), if I were to open a ticket would you provide basic assistance? Yes I know it's a third party script but this is to test your web hosts attitude and willingless to provide excellent support services.

Thanks and I look foward to your reply.

1) What are the server specs for new DA accounts?

The current server is:
Processor Name Pentium III (Coppermine)
Vendor ID GenuineIntel
Processor Speed (MHz) 996.886
Total Memory 2064504 kB
Free Memory 18568 kB
Total Swap Memory 2040244 kB
Free Swap Memory 2031308 kB
System Uptime 14 Days, 11 Hours and 27 Minutes

Other servers in our lineups are P4 1.7's - this just happened to be a powerhouse server, with 3 80G drives, dual processors and 2GB RAM! :)

www5: System Uptime 5 Days, 5 Hours and 4 Minutes
www3: System Uptime 5 Days, 5 Hours and 24 Minutes
www9: System Uptime 5 Days, 5 Hours and 11 Minutes

All were rebooted 5 days ago to upgrade the Linux Kernel - previously they had not been rebooted since installation - I think that was 8/27.

[root@www10 root]# uptime
05:27:34 up 14 days, 11:31, 1 user, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00
[root@www3 root]# uptime
05:37:30 up 5 days, 5:27, 1 user, load average: 0.02, 0.02, 0.00
[root@www5 root]# uptime
04:32:50 up 5 days, 5:07, 1 user, load average: 0.11, 0.09, 0.09
[root@www9 root]# uptime
05:33:17 up 5 days, 5:14, 1 user, load average: 0.11, 0.07, 0.10

2) To your knowledge what are the major differences between cPanel and DA? Like Pro's and Con's.

Cons - DA doesn't have a chroot environment at this point, which means I can't allow SSH access. Ensim was extremely tight on security, but lacked vendor support, core upgrades and any future expansion. DA offers the latest flavors of apache, php, mysql, etc.

3) Do you have a publically accessible link showing uptime % for your DA servers? If so, what is it?

No, I never subscribed to any of those services. Why? I dunno - I have monitoring on my servers - I know when they go down. Our users know the fantastic uptime we've enjoyed - I plan on keeping it at that level.

4) Do you offer a referral/affiliate program? If yes, link, details?

No, not at this time - but it is planned.

5) What kind of webmail does DA offer? cPanel 8.x offers Horde, NeoMail and Squirrelmail. I prefer Squirrelmail.

Neomail and Squirrelmail are both installed with DA.

6) How quickly are support tickets answered to usually around 3AM?

What time zone? 3am ET? You're liable to catch me sleeping, unless it's an emergency, in which case we ask that you call our 24 hour emergency phone. If it's a routine matter, I answer tickets first thing in the AM. If you're at 3am PT, It'll be answered within minutes - I'm at my desk by 5am ET.

7) If I needed assistance in installing a simple script (Squirrelmail for instance), if I were to open a ticket would you provide basic assistance

As time permits, yes. We do ask that you check the forums first, as there's a good likelyhood that someone else has experienced the issue before.

Hope that helps.
