How to set up a connection to Firepay?

I'm trying to set up a scure form connection to use Firepay to accept credit cards (I didn't opt for PayPal because of the relatively high cost of transferring funds to UK bank accounts and that's where we're based). Looking at the Firepay site they offer PERL/CGI and JAVA scripts but no PHP. Anyone had experience in setting up a connection to them?
