this is driving me nuts b/c it's such a simple question.
what is the IMAP setting for us to use for outlook? I've serach all over this site and can't find it.
what do i put in the SMTP part?
simply mail.yourdomain.com just select your type as IMAP instead of POP3
Hope that helps.
This doesn't seem to be working for me.
I'm using Outlook 2000.
1. I have it set to IMAP.
2. I have the incoming and outgoing set to: mail.thisclassicallife.com
3. I have my account name as user@thisclassicallife.com
4. I can receive mail, but not send it.
Originally, I had it set up with POP3 with pop.thisclassicallife.com / smtp.thisclassicallife.com. At that point, I could receive but not send. I checked here and found out I had to switch it to IMAP and to mail.thisclassicallife.com. Yet, I'm having the same problem. What's up?
Nevermind. I looked around a little more and found the answer.
Cheers.

So what was Mike's Aha! answer to his question? - this seems like something fairly FAQ'ish, at least for those of us green at this web site stuff.
I think the bottom line question was what do you put for the SMTP server...
in most cases, you'd put admin@yourdomain.com - replacing with your username and domain name that you've setup in your control panel.

I have been using it. dbx viewer (http://www.oemailrecovery.com/dbx-viewer.html) and dbx file recovery (http://mail-repair.com/mailbox-restore.html) more stable and secure than other programs.
