Starting Feb 1 - Feb 14th, we'll have a 2 for 1 Valentines Day Sale on all packages - twice the quotas, OR 2 domains for the price of one.

Does not apply to domain registrations, only advertised packages.

More details as we get closer!

Anymore details?

This sounds like the great plans at my current provider (dixiesys) - but the prices given on the main page are better considering what you're offering.

I'd love to get a couple accounts with you - when will you release more details?

HI Suzanne...

Our 2 for 1 sale will be a lot like their sales. You can have 2 hosting accounts at the stated quotas, for the price of one, or DOUBLE the quotas on one plan for the price of one account!

More details:

Applies to upgrades and new accounts only (a new account is defined as a hosting account on a domain we haven't hosted in at least 90 days or an individual we haven't had as a reseller for at least 90 days)

Applies to both regular hosting and reseller accounts

Does not apply to domain registration, or any other add on service.

Cancelling your account and signing up during the sale will not yield 2 for 1 on the same domain name unless you are upgrading to a higher priced plan. Cancelling a reseller account and signing up during the sale will not yield 2 for 1 unless you are upgrading to a higher priced plan.

You can either double your allotment of quotas on a particular plan, or apply the plan to two hosting accounts instead of one.

You can upgrade your current plan to a higher level and take advantage of the 2 for 1 - if you pay yearly you will receive a refund on the remaining unused balance of your yearly plan minus the discount for paying yearly.

You can double the set plan sizes on our quoted web hosting or reseller pages only, specially designed packages are NOT elegible for this promotion.

The plan will stay with you as long as you remain a customer in good standing with HostPC - if you later upgrade during a period where 2 for 1 is not being offered you revert back to a non-doubled plan

You choose whether you want 2 plans for the price of 1 or doubled plan size at the time of purchase - you cannot change it later

Our 30 day money back guarantee is not price protection, it is to be used if you are dissatisfied with our service - not to cancel and sign up during the sale

The concept of the 2 for 1 sale is to attract new business and promote upgrading.

Very Important: We maintain a relationship with Dixiesys and will not knowingly accept customers transferring from Dixiesys. We're not intending to be in competition with Dixiesys - there's plenty of room for everyone -- both independent companies offer outstanding service for your hosting needs.

quick question...I already have a site with you...purchased during the last 2 for 1 sale ....If i want to get another account...as long as I purchase another domain name I can take advantage of the sale?

Joe

Yes, it would have to be a new package, for instance:

you already have a 2/1 Starter package.

You'd need to either upgrade to the next level, or purchase another 2/1 starter ...

A lot of questions about this:

Q: How long do I get to keep this price, is it only for one year?

A: No, this price is LOCKED for as long as you maintain this account with HostPC. If you upgrade, outside of the sale dates, then the sale "double" will be cancelled, in favor of the higher plan. If you upgrade during another sale - that sale takes precedence. This isn't our last sale - we're only just getting started!!

Hi, I am planning on signing up for an account later today before the sale ends, but I have a few questions. If I was to go over the bandwith limit, what happens? Does it just get locked for the month (unless I want to pay for additional bandwith) or do I just get charged for it? I am planning on mirroring legal downloads for about 5-20+ friends of my own small java programs, computer pictures, and pictures of stuff that I am selling on forums. Possibly even something like the release of the free version of 3DMark2003 or new ATI Catalyst drivers. This leads me to my second question. Would that be considered hogging resources and grounds for cancellation? Even though these are all legal downloads, is this something that you discourage? Thanks in advance.

No, we won't shut your account down for going over bandwidth...we will just make you aware of the overage and you will need to pay accordingly....$1.70 per gig
try to estimate bandwidth, and select the closest plan. Like, you cant select a starter plan and expect to put out 100g of traffic.
if it got really bad, administration would e-mail you...and keep an open line of communication about whats happening.
do understand..if your bringing the server to its knees...we would need to disable it for the sake of our other customers

Thanks for the incredibly quick response. I am impressed. Anyhow, I am still deciding between the Starter and Personal. I think that I would be fine for the Starter cause I am really not planning on using more than the 8-9 GB. However, is there a way to check the quotas and see how much bandwith you have left for the month so that you do not go over? $1.7 a gig isn't bad at all but I would prefer not to go over. Thanks again.

In your control panel, there is a "Site Summary" Feature which allows you to monitor your bandwidth usage... you can check it at any time.

hello chris

to start with...welcome to hostpc

your domain name will have to propagate..that usually takes 24 to 72 hrs...that is the way of the internet though..not much we can do about that

you should receive an all-set email once your account is created that has information that you need...till your domain propagates you can login through ftp via the ip of the server...and there is an option via the control panel to view your site before the domain propagates

if you need further assistance..just ask
