Here's a tip I'd like to share with my fellow HostPC clients. This forum has a feature that will send registered members email each time a new topic is posted in a particular section. You can use this capability to stay on top of changes/events/etc. at HostPC by activating the feature in the forum section titled "HostPC Happenings." Once you enable the feature, you will receive a single message each time a new topic is posted in that section of the forum. I've been subscribed for a few weeks and the traffic seems to average 1-2 messages a week, so it's not going to put a big load on your inbox.

In 2 simple steps, here's how you can stay on top of events here: If you are not already registered for and logged in to these forums, do that first. Either way, make sure your profile includes your correct, preferably off-site, email address. Verify your address is correct with the "My Controls" (http://www.hostpc.com/forums/index.php?act=UserCP&CODE=00) link above.

Next, click this link and "Subscribe to HostPC Happenings." (http://www.hostpc.com/forums/index.php?act=Track&f=6&type=forum)
That's all there is to it! Upon completing these steps, you will be among the very most-informed clients of this great company, because you will be among the elite who receive email notification every time a new topic is posted to HostPC Happenings. ;)

edit: I am humbled to have been conferred the status of a "HostPC Guru" with this, my 100th post. B)

congrats on your new guru status, and this is a good idea, I just hope you aren't preaching to the choir, so to speak.

maybe excerpts from your post could make it into the welcome e-mail?

Great idea, Jeff. Thanks! ;)

Congrats on your Guru status.
Do they make you wear a bed sheet and eat tofu? :P

Dan, I guess you have a point about "preaching to the choir." There should be some incentive for Joe and Nick to make this widely known as it's a potential labor saver for them if many of us sign up. Post once - notify many. Awesome power! :)

And Herbster, you may be spoiling the surprise, but just in case, I should probably go wait by my mailbox in case my official HostPC Guru Robe arrives today by Express Mail. I think it would be best to do my waiting seated on the ground with arms folded and eyes closed. -_-

Joe, I'd like to suggest that you change the forum permissions to limit topic starting in "HostPC Happenings" to only you and Nick. I subscribe to that forum, so I get email every time a new topic is started there. (I also advocated that others subscribe a few posts down from here.) It seems to me that only you and Nick truly know what is "happening" at HostPC, so you're the only ones who should be starting topics there.
