I'm looking to start a site where I will be able to sell things (Right now my company makes shirts, and we are going to start making other things). If I got the $25/year promo, would I be able to set that up, or would I have to look into some sort of e-commerce hosting? Any help would be excellent.

Thanks,
Bobby

You can do it under the $25 plan...

You'd need to decide if you wanted to accept paypal, or have a merchant account for credit cards, etc. You may need a static IP for SSL, we have that. We can also lead you in the direction of getting a merchant account, etc.

Hope that helps!

Thank you so much for the feedback. I will most likely end up going with that. I just dont know too much about this static IP. If I registered my domain with you guys too would that be taken care of?

If I just want to accept paypal at first, is it neccessary to get a static IP? I eventually plan to accept credit cards, but not for a while.

Not at all... a static IP/cert is the last steps. Paypal, or 2checkout/Paysystems all use their own secure servers - so there's a chance you may never need to use/have a static IP or SSL.

hello ajdowntown

depends on how you take them
Paypal, or 2checkout/Paysystems all use their own secure servers - so there's a chance you may never need to use/have a static IP or SSL

if you want to move into a merchant account later ... probably would be best to get the static IP and a cert

The above link says:
EV1Servers is pleased to announce GeoTrust QuickSSL Certificates for only $49.00*. This Certificate is valid for 1 year.
Is that certificate comparable to the 'High-Assurance Secure Certificate' at GoDaddy that sells for $89.95/year? Or the 'Turbo Secure Certificate' that sells for $29.95/year?
