changing skin: safe mode on error

I'm using invision board and wnated to change the skin. The process is to upload a .tar file and then using the forum software, import the skin over. However, i keep getting a safe mode on error. Any ideas on how to address that? I've changed the necessary directories to even 777 access but no luck...

we can disable safe mode for ya... send a note to support@hostpc.com with the domain name and "request safe mode off" in it...

Ah, I just sent an email asking about this. I guess I'll be getting the same response soon. Sorry for not looking into the forums before emailing, but I guess it will achieve the same results. :)
