Ya know, I grew up in a town that looked a lot like yours - except smaller.
West Virginia? I had a buddy in the Navy who was from Slabfork.

I'm not sure where slabfork is but I have to say it does sound like the name of a little town that would be in West Virginia. LOL Yesterday on a day trip we took, I came across a little town called Look Out, West Virginia. hehe On behalf of the small towns here though...I have to say that I live in one of them because I choose to. I am more the relaxed, life a little bit slower, small town kind of person. I've done the large city thing. While it is for some, I prefer my surroundings be a little more slow paced. :) The pics are on my site from yesterday if ya want to see them. Got some good ones of the mountains and such.

In the long shots it appears most trees there are deciduous while trees here are evergreen, otherwise the shots look a lot like here - Oregon Coast - Cascades.
Absolutely beautiful!
I want 10 acres and a cabin... with DSL.

Yeah villageinn...if I couldn't spend time in the country it just wouldn't seem natural for me. You will just have to come spend some time and bask in all of our greenery. hehe We do have alot of evergreen trees here as well herbster. Some beautiful blue spruce and beds of pine trees which blanket the mountain sides in some places. We have a beautiful state. The cabin in the pics, it was so nice there guys. No population or traffic (the road to them, you couldn't even pass another car on it was so narrow) and what you see in the pics was literally all I could see. Not even the neighboring cabins. The trout stream which is also in some of the pics at the old mill, runs along front of the cabins and you can hear the water rushing over and around the rocks. My kind of paradise. ;) Well, maybe if I could have two paradises (lol) the second would be on the beach. hehe Nothing better than walking on the beach at sunrise before all the people are up and about and playing with the sandcrabs.

P.S. guys. You have to promise to tell me when I do something goofy like gigantic text on my site again. That is if you come across it. I won't take it personally. Cross my little hillbilly heart. hehe
